She is respected for her many years of exceptional clinical work and leadership.
Nicole Lemar, Lead Certified Medical Assistant
Without Nicole outpatient cardiology would be lost. Day after day she comes in with a good attitude and ready to work hard. She is friendly and polite to not only the patients but also the staff. She manages her patient flow and flawlessly assists the other MAs. She goes outside of her day-to-day duties to take on more work or more care coordination than is required of her to ensure a positive patient experience.”
Chitra Ravishankar, Attending Physician
Chitra is the epitome of a dedicated physician. She goes above and beyond for her patients and their families. She is a dedicated colleague; always the voice of reason. Her commitment to teaching has been experienced by countless cardiology fellows.
Sai Kham Noom, Sr. Nursing Aide
Sai gives 110% every single day. He loves caring for every patient assigned to him. In fact, he assists in caring for every patient, not just the ones listed as his assignment. He takes initiative and always goes above and beyond. Every day is spa day for the kiddos lucky enough to have him assisting in their care. He will hunt down a stroller to take as many babies on walks as possible. And you bet he has a bottle of hand sanitizer along to enforce hand hygiene before any interactions. He truly, truly, truly loves what he does and never complains.”
Stephen Walker, Retired Nurse Practitioner
Steve has given tremendously of himself to the cardiac center and the pulmonary hypertension program for almost two decades. He is the face of the program to our patients who affectionately call him Dr. Steve and we will miss him terribly when he begins his well-deserved retirement. I can think of no one more deserving for this award.
