Sign up your team for one of the two four-hour, relay-style sessions. Team members will rotate on your designated bike* during the session. You can also sign up to ride as a virtual participant.

* Each bike has a minimum fundraising requirement of $1,000. Teams may have a minimum of two riders and maximum of six riders, per bike. Teams may reserve more than one bike, but are still required to raise $1,000 per bike. In 2017, the team fundraising average was $2,252.
- 1 bike: 2-6 team members — $1,000 fundraising commitment
- 2 bikes: 4-12 team members — $2,000 fundraising commitment
- 3 bikes: 6-18 team members — $3,000 fundraising commitment
- 4 bikes: 8-24 team members — $4,000 fundraising commitment
- 5 bikes: 10-30 team members — $5,000 fundraising commitment
There is no minimum fundraising requirement for virtual participants, but there is an incentive to fundraise! All virtual participants who raise $50 or more will receive a Philly Spin-In T-shirt as a small thank you for supporting cardiac breakthroughs at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

How It Works
It’s easy to get started — just follow these three steps. Our young cardiac patients thank you!
Step 1: Register
Choose from three registration options:
Start a Team
Pick a session, register and recruit your team of 2-6 riders per bike. Team riders will rotate on their designated bike.
Join a Team
Register with an existing team of 2-6 riders (per bike), and get ready to ride on March 11. Team riders will rotate on their designated bike.
Can’t join us? Sign up as a Virtual Participant. Virtual riders who raise $50 or more will receive an event T-shirt after the event in the mail.
The registration fee is $25 per person, except for Virtual Participants. The registration fee counts towards your fundraising commitment. Remember each bike has a minimum fundraising requirement of $1,000.
There are limited number of bikes available, so sign up early!

Your fundraising efforts are critical in the fight against pediatric heart disease. Funds you raise go directly to research and care to benefit young patients at the Cardiac Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Registration & Fundraising
How do I register?
Registering is easy! Sign up to start a team, join a team or register as virtual participant. Remember to choose the same morning or afternoon session as your team.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, the registration fee is $25 per person for Team Members and Team Captains. Virtual Participants can register for free.
When is the last day to register?
Bikes are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 100 bikes per session. Online registration ends on Friday, March 9. However, participants can still register in person on the day of the event. Sign up early to ensure you get a spot!
Is there a fundraising requirement?
Yes. All Philly Spin-In teams are required to raise a minimum of $1,000 per bike. Virtual participants do not have a fundraising requirement, but are still encouraged to fundraise to support tomorrow’s breakthroughs for young cardiac patients at CHOP.
Are registration fees included in the fundraising minimum?
Yes, the $25 registration fee for team captains and participants is included in the fundraising minimum.

What happens if I don’t reach the minimum fundraising requirement?
No credit cards will be charged if teams do not meet the fundraising requirement, but we do encourage you make a gift to your team to start your fundraising!
Is there a limit to how many people can be on a team?
Yes, each team must consist of a minimum of two (2) riders to a maximum of six (6) riders, per bike. Teams may reserve as many bikes as they like as long as they raise the minimum of $1,000 per bike. Need additional bikes? Email PhillySpinIn@email.chop.edu.
What are the responsibilities of the team captain?
Team captains customize the team page, recruit team members, and motivate them to raise funds to support cardiac research and care. See our Guide for Team Fundraising.
Are team captains allowed to reserve more than one bike?
Yes, you can do so when registering or email PhillySpinIn@email.chop.edu.
How long will each team member ride?
Both the morning and afternoon sessions will include four 45-minute rides; however, team members may switch off riding as often as they’d like!
Can teams select their time slot?
Team captains will select their time slot when registering for the morning (8 a.m.–noon) or afternoon (1:30–5:30 p.m.) session. All bikes will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
I am new to cycling; can I participate?
Absolutely! No experience is required to participate in Philly Spin-In! If you’re a first timer or an expert, come and join us!
Is there a minimum age requirement to participate?
No, any age can participate as long as you reach the height requirement.
Is there a minimum height requirement to participate?
Yes, riders must be 5 feet tall or taller in order to reach the bike pedals.
How do I make a donation to an individual or team?

How long will it take for gifts to be processed and counted toward my fundraising total?
Online credit card donations will be immediately added toward your fundraising total. If you are mailing in a check or money order, you may enter the offline donation as a pledge to be immediately counted toward your fundraising total.
Where do I mail checks given to me by the donors?

How do I add a check or money order to my fundraising total?
If you are mailing in a check or money order you may enter the offline donation as a pledge to be immediately counted toward your fundraising total. Please download and print an offline donation form, and include it when mailing in the check or money order.
How do I know if my company has a matching gift program?
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. Search our matching directory to see if your company has a matching gift policy. You could double or even triple your contributions!

Where can I park?
Free parking will be available in the Buerger Center parking garage — 3500 Civic Center Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19104. Get directions. Take garage elevators to the first floor and walk across the plaza to the Colket building.
What will I get at the event?
Besides an awesome day raising funds to support the CHOP Cardiac Center with your friends and family, you will receive a Philly Spin-In tank top or T-shirt, a rally towel, water, snacks and unlimited entertainment.
Do I need special indoor cycling shoes?
No, you don’t need indoor cycling shoes. Riders can wear sneakers or indoor cycling shoes; each bike has pedals with cages or SPD compatibility.
What should I wear to Philly Spin-In?
We encourage all participants to wear comfortable, active clothing and shoes. Don’t be afraid to show your spirit — bright colors, team shirts, tutu’s etc.
Do I have to stay the entire four hours if I am cycling with a team?
No, you can ride and leave or you can stay. We encourage riders to stay and cheer on their teammates!
Will there be food and drink at the event?
Yes, there will be drinks and snacks for all registered participants at the event.
Do I get my tank top or T-shirt at the event or will it be mailed to me?
All riders will pick up their T-shirt or tank top upon checking in at registration on Sunday, March 11.
